How Important Is It for Your Website to Be Mobile-Friendly?

We’ve had to make lots of changes in recent years, due to the speed of technology, especially when it comes to making our websites mobile-friendly. Why is it such a big deal? Take computers, for instance: Once, if you wanted to do anything, from type a report to do research, you had to have a desktop. Gradually, of course, that morphed into the use of a laptop which made accessibility to technology more available.

But now, of course, the devices have gotten smaller and even more portable, and just about everyone now has a smartphone. We take the world with us on our phones, which are now equipped with the ability to edit documents, do research, and contact people. What that means, of course, is that fewer and fewer people actually spend the majority of their tech time on desktops. Instead, they’ve turned to phones.

If you want someone to find your business and its products or services, your website needs to be equipped to work just as well on smart phones and tablets as it does on desktops. This is uber important for Google placement, too. They’re no longer paying attention to sites that aren’t mobile-friendly. How does it affect you when you reach a site and see that it’s so small you can’t read the text or that you can’t navigate it? Frustrated, right? If you want clients, this is something you need to have, like yesterday!
