Did you know that more than 33% of all searches at Google are what they term of “local intent”? It’s obvious what that means… People are looking for businesses, people, or events where they are, whether residents or vacationers. Because of this, Google provides more local listings at the top of its results pages. That means, when people type in “restaurant,” eateries that are Sarasota businesses will show up first.

And the trend is only going to increase. As new Internet searches are increasingly performed on mobile phones, Google understands what they’re looking for — directions, reviews, menus, etc.

I mean, think about it… Do you use the Yellow Pages yourself much anymore? I know I don’t. I can find things easier and faster using Google.

Here’s why you should claim your Google Places position:

• You can give visitors the information you want them to see. Your strong copy can more readily bring people to your sites.

• Even if you don’t have a website yet, Google Places will at least give you position on the Web. (But if you don’t have a website, we can create one for you at a reasonable price.)

• You can add videos and photos that really make your listing stand out from the crowd.

Being online is more important than ever for local businesses. If you haven’t got your place on the Web, let us help you!
