On June 13, Google announced that they will include short blurbs about your business in Google Maps search results. So, for example, when someone does a quick search for “restaurants in Sarasota FL,” the list will include your restaurant (if your website is optimized for search performance) and what people are saying about it will show up, just underneath.

Here’s an example:

Barnacle Bill’s comes up on top, and if you notice below the stars, you’ll see “Great Menu, Good Location.” Bill’s obviously has someone working on search and it put them on top of the list. Getting people to add good reviews for your business is how you can make this happen for you.
